The Birth of Chiva-Som:
Chiva-Som was established in 1993 when Boonchu Rojanastien chose to transform his beachfront holiday home in Hua Hin, a Thai seaside town, into a wellness sanctuary that could be enjoyed by many. On April 19th, 1995, the resort officially opened its doors. Boonchu, along with his family and friends, would frequently retreat to the resort for a weekend escape from the busy city of Bangkok. They would begin the day with jogging on the beach, playing outdoor sports, and breathing in fresh air, before indulging in good food and relaxation. Boonchu lived by the motto of "Above all, enjoy your life," promoting a balanced approach to wellness that combined effort and enjoyment. He encouraged his loved ones to adopt healthy habits and eventually expanded this generosity to a wider community of like-minded individuals. The resort, now known as Chiva-Som, was created based on Boonchu's inspired foundation. He named it "Haven of Life," as he aimed to help people return to the path of wellness. Today, Chiva-Som is renowned worldwide for its transformative impact on people's lives, all thanks to one man's vision.
