Sanitha Arackal is a Psychiatric Social Worker and has pursued her M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work from National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS, an Institute of National Importance), Bangalore. Her experience in the field involves providing evidence- based psychosocial interventions for adults, children and couples with mental health problems and the disorders such as Schizophrenia, Depression, Bipolar disorder, Anxiety related disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Borderline Personality disorder and Substance use disorders. She has experience in managing people with severe mental illness, development disorders and substance use disorders, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to formulate short term and long-term treatment plans such as inclusive education, supported employment, liaisons occupational and vocational training and rehabilitation facilities, outside referrals etc.
She aims at customizing Psychosocial interventions for her clients based on individual need. She also works with family members to help clients integrate with families and society.
