Dr. Vijay D Shetty is a Visiting Consultant Orthopedic & Arthroscopic Surgeon (Adult Hip & Knee Specialist) at Dr. L H Hiranandani Hospital since October 2006. He received advanced training in Orthopedic Surgery and specializes in Hip and Knee Surgery, completing his education in the United Kingdom from 1997 - 2005.

Currently, he is an Instructor for Educational Day at SICOT (International Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology) and International Examiner for SICOT Examinations.

Dr. Shetty achieved notable milestones in his career: - In September 2009, he was the first to introduce platelet-rich plasma therapy in India. - In February 2010, he was recognized in the "Limca Book of World Records" for achieving the shortest stay after simultaneous bilateral total knee replacement. - Also in 2010, he was again recognized in the "Limca Book of World Records" for fastest recovery after primary total knee replacement.

He successfully performed a "Live Total Hip Replacement" relay during the Tamil Nadu Orthopaedic Association Conference in February 2009 and received international recognition as a nominee for the "Best Scientific Paper" award at the SICOT Annual Conference in Morocco in August 2007.
