About Doctor

Dr Teng-Teng Chung is a highly experienced consultant in endocrinology at London Medical. Her particular interests encompass all facets of thyroid disorders, adrenal disease, pituitary disorders, calcium disorders, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Dr Chung obtained her medical degree from the University of Sydney. She completed her clinical training at the esteemed endocrine unit at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. In 2007, she was awarded a medical research council fellowship and subsequently earned her PhD in adrenal molecular endocrinology at QMUL.

In 2010, she received the NIHR Clinical Lectureship at Barts and the London to further her research in adrenal disease. She carries on publishing extensively in peer-reviewed journals and books. She actively takes part in clinical research and clinical trials in adrenal diseases.

Dr Chung manages patients with all facets of endocrine disease. In addition to the London Medical, she serves as the clinical lead for the adult thyroid services at University College of London Hospital (UCLH), delivering multidisciplinary, patient-focused care. Her thyroid practice includes hyperthyroid, hypothyroid, antenatal thyroid service, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer.

At UCLH, she also leads the adrenal service and MDT. She possesses a particular interest in endocrine-related hypertension including primary aldosteronism, phaeochromocytoma, and adrenal cancer. Her other general endocrine interests include pituitary tumours, parathyroid disease, and calcium disorders.
