• Dr. Suman Lata Nayak is a nationally and internationally trained Nephrologist with over 15 years of experience.
• She completed her DM Nephrology training at AIIMS, New Delhi.
• Dr. Nayak was awarded the ISN fellowship from a leading transplant center in London, United Kingdom.
• She played a crucial role in establishing the department of Nephrology & Renal Transplantation at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in Delhi.
• The renal unit under her leadership became a recognized center of excellence for holistic Nephrology care.
• Dr. Nayak contributed to various research projects focusing on renal problems associated with Liver diseases. She was instrumental in initiating the DNB Nephrology training program at the Institute.
• In 2017, Dr. Nayak joined as the Director of Nephrology & Renal Transplant at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Gurugram, and Dharamshila Superspeciality Hospital, New Delhi.
• She actively participated in starting Nephrology and kidney transplant programs at both centers.
• Dr. Nayak initiated the DNB Nephrology program at Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital.
• She has attended more than fifty national and international conferences and has been a part of numerous seminars, CMEs, and symposiums as a chairperson or speaker.
• Her educational background includes an M.D. in Medicine from PGIMS Rohtak, Haryana, and an International Fellowship certificate in renal transplant from St George's Healthcare NHS trust, London, in 2011. Dr. Nayak is also a recipient of the Fellowship of the Indian Society of Nephrology (FISN).
• Her research in the field of kidney transplantation, liver disease in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), tuberculosis and bone disease in CKD patients has made a significant impact on improving treatment protocols in an Indian setting.
