Dr. Robert Douglas Church, MBChB, is a Consultant in General and Colorectal Surgery at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi. An expert in the field of General and Colorectal Surgery, Dr. Church has 30 years of experience in treating colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and perianal problems. He has special expertise in performing minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy, and colonoscopy. He is actively involved in various research projects and has published numerous medical studies focusing on several field-related topics including cancer therapies and treatments, inflammatory diseases and minimally invasive surgeries. He has an active role in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is the director of courses at the Royal College of Surgeons, England.
