Organised the full-fledged Department of Nephrology with inpatient and out patient services, Haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, and Renal Transplantation. 1983- 1991, 1995-1996.

The first cadaver renal transplantation in TamilNadu Health services was done at Stanley Medical College Hospital in1996.

The Department was recognized for DNB course.

Organised the renal transplantation both in Govt. Rayapettah hospital and Kilpauk Medical College Hospital, Chennai.

Conducted the Ist survey in Madras City about the awareness Of Cadaver Transplantation in Chennai.
