Dr. Gerald Anand Raja is a Consultant in Surgical Oncology at SRM Global Hospitals, Chennai, specializing in MCh (Surgical Oncology).
He pursued his MBBS at Tirunelveli Medical College from 2000 to 2006, followed by M.S in General Surgery at Kilpauk Medical College from 2008 to 2011.
Dr. Raja further advanced his qualifications with DNB (General Surgery) and M.Ch (Surgical Oncology) at Kilpauk Medical College from 2017 to 2020.
Additionally, he underwent training in laparoscopic surgery at AIIMS, Delhi.
His academic achievements include winning gold medals in anatomy and physiology in university exams, as well as securing the first prize in poster presentation at mid-NATCON 2018 and in oncology quiz at Indo-UK oncosummit.
With a rich professional background, Dr. Raja served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at Govt Theni Medical College from 2011 to 2015.
He then progressed to the position of Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at Kilpauk Medical College from 2015 to 2017.
Dr. Raja's field of interest lies in minimally invasive approaches in Gastrointestinal and Gynaecological oncology, along with oncoplastic breast surgery.
