Due to the high demand for refractive operations, we are pleased to have Dr. med. Florian Kretz as vacation replacement for Dr. Detlev Breyer could win. Dr. Kretz is a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) and a Fellow of the World College of Refractive Surgery and Visual Sciences (FWCRS). He is proficient in all modern laser and lens procedures - from SMILE laser eye surgery to laser cataract surgery, i.e. the entire spectrum of refractive surgery and cataract surgery. He has experience from over 30,000 independently performed operations.

His commitment to research, as well as his philanthropic and social commitment, have received several awards. From 2016 to 2020 he was listed in the 'Ophthalmologist' Power List as one of the most influential ophthalmologists. He has been recommended by Focus Gesundheit magazine since 2020 and in 2023 Stern included him in the list of Germany's excellent doctors in the field of refractive surgery.
