Dr. Amal Louis is a British citizen who earned her MBBS from Madras Medical College in Chennai in 1996. She then moved to the UK the following year for further training, where she spent 15 years before earning her Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Cardiology from the UK and her fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from Sheffield. has almost 20 years of interventional cardiology experience.
He has conducted a great deal of research on heart failure and was a clinical lecturer in cardiology at the University of Hull in the UK.

- OCT guided Angioplasty was first carried out in South India.
- Patients with heart failure are the first in Europe to adopt telemonitoring.
- Few years before Enhanced External Counterpulsation Therapy (EECP) was offered in India, the UK pioneered this treatment for patients with chest discomfort and was just the second person in Europe to do so.
