- Dr. Agkop Avakian is a Specialist Gastroenterologist and the Head of the Department.
- He is fluent in English, Armenian, and Greek languages.
- Dr. Avakian completed his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at the State University of New York.
- He earned his medical degree from the St. George’s University School of Medicine.
