The dream of Abhijay Hospital nurtured and grew within Dr. L. Saravanan, the founder and managing director and Dr. S. Mahalakshmi, director of Abhijay Hospital, until the point of inflection happened in 2004. Dr. L. The couples have started a two storeyed multi specialty hospital in Perambur in 2004. It is a 15 bedded hospital with all basic medical facilities. They were 28 years old when the hospital has started. With no medical back ground and sound financial assistance, the couples are couraged and determined to start their own set up in 2004.

Their vision is promoting affordable health care to all economic groups. Establishing a critical care to handle medical emergencies in north Chennai ( where people seeking assistance from south or central Chennai for major medical emergencies and trauma, the hospital has emerged as a relief for north Chennai residents) during the golden hour. They were the pioneers in 2004 promoting cashless & insurance facility to north Chennai residents. ( the insurance and cashless was introduced in India in 2002 only).

To promote quality health care the hospital has achieved iso 9001 2000 in 2006 itself. The brand Abhijay Hospital has became popular and established its brand in north Chennai.
