In the past 21 years, Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Goyal has conducted more than 29,000 major surgeries and more than 5,000 Laser Proctology procedures. He has assisted in organising live surgical seminars and trained more than 1000 surgeons throughout India. He was given the Economics Times Most Influential Award - 2022 for raising the bar for general and laser surgery and consistently making a noteworthy contribution to the healthcare industry. In India, Dr. Goyal is credited for being a pioneer in the use of Fully Resorbable (P4HB) Mesh for Hernias. He is also renowned for his painstaking and exact surgical techniques. In 1997, Dr. Goyal received his MBBS from LLRM Medical College in Meerut. He then attended Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal for his Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery and completed his Fellowship in Laparoscopy (FIAGES in 2010 and FAIS in 2020) as well as several other certificates in laparoscopy from AllMS & Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education. He feels that after receiving all the praise, it is only right to return some of it to society.
