In 1993, Dr. Satish Chhabra established the first dialysis centre in East Delhi and worked with the East Delhi Indian Medical Association (EDIMA) and the East Delhi Physicians Association to advance the field of nephrology there (EDPA). He played a key role in setting up the first dialysis centres in this area.

He joined Max Patparganj in 2005, helped create the department of nephrology, and began providing transplant services in 2010. He currently actively oversees the Patparganj and Vaishali Max Hospital units and is involved in whole renal care.
