Dr. Ahmad, MBBS, PhD, MRCS, FRCS (Urol), is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Director of Robotic Surgery at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.With over a decade of experience in urologic oncology and endourology, Dr. Ahmad is UK trained and has special surgical and clinical expertise in performing robotic, laparoscopy and complex open urological procedures. He pioneered robotic cystectomy service in Scotland and also led a team to do the first robotic-assisted surgery at SSMC in 2020.Dr. Ahmad is heavily involved in healthcare research, particularly prostate cancer, and has received multiple prestigious international awards and recognitions for his publications. He has published numerous research articles in leading peer-reviewed journals and has authored book chapters. Passionate about medical education, Dr. Ahmad is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Urology at Khalifa University and has delivered numerous medical lectures in international meetings and training courses. Additionally, he established SSMC’s first Leadership Program for medical students.
