Awards and Achievements

The Association of Physicians of India Conference in Berhampur featured a presentation on the use of recombinant erythropoietin in the treatment of anaemia in chronic renal failure (ORISSA)

The poster, "Role of Circulating Megakaryocytes in CML," which was presented at the 11th International Congress on Anti-Cancer Treatment in Paris, France, in February 2001, won first place. This task has only recently been completed in India.

A case report from the postgraduate medical journal from 2000, Vol. 76, Pg. 704–709, describes a patient with acute myeloid leukaemia who also had "disseminated fungal infection associated with pulmonary haemorrhage."

Kidney extraosseous Ewing's sarcoma: A case report from Urologic Internationals, June 2001

An analysis of the significance of the oncoprotein C-erbB-2 in uterine cervix squamous cell carcinoma and its response to therapy was given as a poster at the ASCO PAN ASIA Cancer Conference in New Delhi in February 20025.

The Indian Journal of Medical Research accepted the study's analysis of risk variables and chromosomal abnormalities in North Indian leukaemia patients for publication in October 2005.
