Dr. B L Kapur was an eminent Obstetrician and Gynecologist who established a Charitable Hospital in Lahore in 1930. He later moved to India after the partition and set up a Maternity Hospital in Ludhiana. In 1956, he initiated the project for a 200-bed hospital in Delhi, which was inaugurated by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru in 1959. His contributions laid the foundation for the establishment of BLK Super Speciality Hospital.
